At last! We finally launched the new version of kazzong.com. Well, there are a few innovations going on around the site: Kazzong charts, playlists for users, a shop system with search function, ratings and comments for albums etc.

Kazzong Promotion Tips

The Kazzong widget is not a like your average shop module, it’s a highly flexible tool for artists themselves to contribute massively to the exposure of their music. We’d like to encourage everbody to make full use of all promotion tools available to you, including social networks like MySpace.

As exposure is key to fame and fortune, it’s vital to get heard and seen. Multiplying your retail outlets (Kazzong Players) means more plays and more potential sales. Here’s some tips:

1.    Communication

Tell your fans about Kazzong and how they can purchase your songs via the widgets.

Make sure to explain where to find your Kazzong Players, what is required to purchase the tracks etc. You can also point out the advantages for artists and fans. Spread the news through all communication tools available:

a) Artist website
b) Blog
c) Podcast
d) MySpace profile
e) Fan newsletter

Don’t forget to mention that fans can put the widget on their own community profiles, blogs and other websites.

2.    Placement

Spend a little time on getting your Kazzong Players to fit with your websites.

Most MySpace profile in particular look very cluttered and are taking ages to load fully. Make sure you are doing a better job, stand out from the crowd and keep your audience in mind. Also ensure your Kazzong widget is very visible on your site.

3.    Exposure

a) Post your widgets in your friends comments
b) Encourage fans to put your player on their profile
c) Get fans to spread the widget via comments

Hint: There are numerous MySpace profiles with thousands of daily visits. Imagine the amount of exposure you can get by placing a single comment with your Kazzong player on a high traffic profile. The trick is to use existing traffic and translate it into interest and sales for your music with minimum effort!

Midem Revisited

Midem is a yearly music industry highlight, actually it’s the biggest and most important music fair in the world. And hey, it’s based in beautiful Cannes. Naturally, Kazzong was there. We had a very nice booth and tons of coffee.

Meeting labels, artists and content aggregators from all over the world, we’re very pleased that they’ll deliver us lots of new music.

People from Russia, Australia, Canada, USA and the whole of Europe were rather enthusiastic about Kazzong, quite a few saying this was the solution they’ve been looking for.

February Promotion

We’re feeling generous in February. For one month there’ll be a 100 percent payout on all single-track sales. Selling a track for 99 cents equals 99 cents going straight to your account. Pretty sweet, huh?

Finally our MySpace player is ready for use and we’re chuffed to bits with it. This is a great step towards taking the music to where the action is. Basically, your profile visitors can now purchase, spread and listen to your music without being taken off your MySpace.
